I am a blogger and I really love what I do. Since I became a member of Collective Bias’ Shopper Influencer Group, Social Fabric (SoFab), I have grown into a professional blogger. Through SoFab, I have the opportunity to work with top brands, other first-class bloggers and one of the leading firms targeted to social media marketing.

These opportunities have allowed me to expand my expertise as well as my personal brand. However, I have discovered yet another perk of working with Collective Bias – I am a more aware, knowledgeable and savvy shopper. This experience has changed the way I shop and, to some extent, the way I work.

Seductive Tables Book

For instance, Social Fabric is currently doing a campaign for Moll Anderson’s new book, Seductive Tables For Two: Tablescapes, Picnics, and Recipes That Inspire Romance. The minute I saw this beautifully crafted book, I knew the way I thought about laying a table would be forever changed. And so it goes with many of the products I have worked with. Plus, as a result of my research for writing, I am now a more loyal brand advocate.

Rethinking Valentine’s Day

Moll leads the reader through a wonderland of breathtaking ideas for entertaining the one you love. From a Sensual Sea Escape to a Red Hot Valentine…this book fires my creative juices and ignites my imagination. I had thoughts flowing from my pencil so fast I could hardly keep up.

The book gives you the hows and the whys of this special form of entertaining. You may be perfectly comfortable hosting a crowd of people, yet be out of your element entertaining your spouse. Not any more. You can’t help but be inspired to set a special table for the two of you sometime soon.

“It’s not about the size of the table; it’s about what you put on it,” gave me permission to do it my way. I love any opportunity to bring out some of my vast collection of china, glassware, flatware and serving pieces. I am thrilled by the concept of using cherished items to set a mood or “create a surprise,” as Moll says, to create a sensory experience. Ah yes…an experience for all the senses…A Savory Sunrise moment!

Savory Sunrise Table

And this is how working with Collective Bias has changed me. I would have set a pretty table for Valentine’s Day. Perhaps had flowers and a special meal. After doing this campaign my table will be exquisite, intimate and seductive. My shopping will be different indeed. Here is just a peek at the table I set for my husband’s birthday last weekend-après reading the book…
