Meet A Community Member ~ Nicole from SAHMReviews

Nicole is the mom to two beautiful girls, ages 9 and 8, and the wife to an awesome husband. She and her family moved back to Iowa from sunny Los Angeles shortly after the kids were born to ensure they had a Midwest upbringing. Her blog, SahmReviews.com offers story-based reviews and is built on displaying how products integrate into the lives of a typical family.

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

Since the community has grown, I haven’t done many campaigns as a participant. Most of my experience is from the Campaign Leader position. By and far, I would have to say that the Clear American water campaign was my absolute favorite. It inspired some amazing creativity in the bloggers who participated!

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

The Social Fabric community has so many positive traits that it is difficult to pick out just one! What I love most is the fact it offers multiple types of professional opportunities. Aside from the shoppertunities, which are the core of the community, Social Fabric reaches out to their members to help out – everything from leading campaigns to teaching classes!

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

Despite our ages, my husband and I are retired. We cherish the ability to be here for our daughters while they are young and impressionable. Few parents have this kind of opportunity. We both do freelance work to keep our skills honed so we can return to the workforce when we feel the time is right.

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

I could try to be creative and think of something fun like “I would want to be on a deserted island with Martha Stewart but wouldn’t need 3 things because she would make everything all crafty, festive and tasty with whatever was on the island.” But that’s just not me… I would want to be sent with my best friend, my husband. As for bringing along three things – that’s tough. (1) Sunscreen because I’m fair-skinned and don’t want to burn. (2) A toothbrush because, well, ewwww and (3) my kids because what fun is being on an island without the people you love?
