Meet A Community Member – Kecia from Southern Girl Ramblings

Kecia Hambrick is a work at home mom, wife, blogger, freelance writer, and product reviewer, born and raised in Georgia. She owns Southern Girl Ramblings, where she rambles about parenting her toddler son, being healthy, and life in general. She also provides product reviews and giveaways to help other moms know what to spend their family’s hard earned money on!

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

My favorite so far has been the Couch Critics. We watch movies a lot, but it was a fun spin on a favorite pastime for us. It was interesting to watch a movie and make a themed dinner as an “at home” date night. Date nights are something my hubby and I do not do enough of, but it’s nice that we can do them at home more affordable and with no need for a babysitter!

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

The community’s willingness to help out and educate/welcome/etc others is great. I still consider myself a newbie since I haven’t done many shops, but I feel like I have learned a ton from the forums – and not just about doing the shoppertunities. With the SFU class I took, I learned how to take better photographs, which will help me with shops as well as better my blog.

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

I have been blogging since 2005, though Southern Girl Ramblings is just over 3 years old. I began working at home as a freelance writer in 2007 while in college full time, majoring in Education. College is on hold right now though, and has been since I gave birth to my little monkey!

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

I’d probably bring my husband – just because he’s very resourceful and I wouldn’t have to worry about starving to death! I’d bring with us a water cooler that refills itself, the most advanced Swiss Army knife known to man, and a cell phone that works out in the middle of nowhere!
