Meet a Community Member ~ Laila

Laila is a mom raising a preschool aged son in the suburbs of Chicago. For almost 2 years she’s been blogging about her life as a single mom, inspiring things her son says and does, and everyday life. Blogging has become a wonderful creative outlet that has provided some great opportunities for Laila and her son.

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

My favorite campaign would have to be the Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches. I am always looking for quick after school snacks for my son, and this definitely fit the bill. I’m glad I was able to participate.

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

I really enjoy the willingness of other members to share information. Blogging has been a trial and error experience with me. I have met so many women who are willing to answer questions and share their expertise.

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

I work full time as an administrator at a local university. I really enjoy my work with college students; they keep me inspired about the future. I also am the world’s biggest Michael Jackson fan. I know all of his music by heart and can be found playing the Michael Jackson Experience on my Wii on any given day.

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

I would love to be on a deserted island with the actor Idris Elba. Not only do I think he’s an amazing actor, he’s gorgeous! I would bring my laptop with internet access (I could watch tv, communicate with family, view pictures of loved ones, etc.), matches (for warmth, heating, food, etc.) and a tent (shelter).
