Meet a Community Member ~ Carrie McLaren

After seven years as a travel public relations professional in Jacksonville, Florida, Carrie is now a full-time mom to a silly toddler named Maggie and little, precious Molly (born with Down Syndrome). What started as a way to share Molly’s story with friends and family quickly became something much more in September 2010. Carrie renewed her passion for writing and realized she loved being part of an online community.

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

I really loved participating in the Halloween Boo Bag/Mars candies shoppertunity. It was fun to put together a gift box for my blogging friend, Melissa from Sippy Cup Mom.

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

I love the Social Fabric community because it’s really a community! Everyone is supportive of one another! I’ve met some fantastic people in this community, and I think Social Fabric has played a big part of me growing as a blogger!

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

When I’m not playing with my sweet babies or feeding my social media addiction, I think of myself as a foodie-in-training (my husband is the better cook) and I’m an avid sports fan (but stink at playing them). I was a dancer for sixteen years, so I also have a special place in my heart for the performing arts.

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

Besides my husband, I’d bring Garth Brooks to my deserted island. I love him… a lot. I’d have him bring his guitar and sing to me all day. I’d bring my laptop, my iPhone and a generator/power supply – so I could keep in touch with everyone at home!
