Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a day to give thanks for all that we’ve been blessed with. What are you thankful for this holiday season? Our theme in the Social Fabric community this week has been Thanksgiving Recipes. Just a note, that our @CollectiveBias Twitter chat will not be held this Friday, due to the holiday weekend.

Once again, we asked Social Fabric members to share their opinions on Thanksgiving and preparing for the big day. Take a look at what they had to say….

When asked where members eat Thanksgiving dinner, 60% of members stated they host dinner in their home. We also asked them how much, roughly, they spend on Thanksgiving supplies. The majority spend between $20-$80. Where do they shop for those Thanksgiving supplies? The grocery store won out with 66% of members shopping there, while mass retailers, like Walmart, are destinations for 33% of members. When asked where they spend Thanksgiving, it was a tie between home or with parents. How is food preparation handled, with all the family coming? 66% stated that the host prepares everything, while 33% replied that everyone brings a dish or two to contribute to the meal.

Social Fabric members were also asked to share their favorite Thanksgiving posts, including recipes. Enjoy the following contributions by a few bloggers from our creative community….

Sara, from Mom Endeavors, shared a very festive turkey veggie tray that’ll entertain both young and old alike, Cornucopia of Creativity: Turkey Veggie Tray. She also shares how you can decorate your table in a most beautiful way in Cornucopia of Creativity: DIY Thanksgiving Table Decor.

Need a delicious change to that holiday turkey? Try Jacqueline’s Bacon Wrapped Turkey, from NerdFamily Food.

Melissa shares a healthy alternative for those needing gluten free desserts this holiday, Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake #GlutenFree.

Lastly, Katie shares her family’s traditional Thanksgiving recipe for Norwegian not Swedish Meatballs.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! May your holiday be restful, relaxing, and filled with beautiful family memories.
