Theme of the Week: CB's 11/11/11 Birthday Bash!
This Friday is 11/11/11, meaning that CB’s 2-1/2 year Birthday Bash is here! We are celebrating with our community, as we also prepare to re-launch the new Social Fabric community this coming Monday, November 14. In honor of said celebration, we’ll be hosting a @CollectiveBias Twitter Party, to be held this Friday, November 11 at 12:30 pm EST; be sure to join us by using the hashtags #111111 and #cbias. We will be giving away prizes, including gift cards and an actual pair of “happy socks” from our very own John Andrews. You do not want to miss this party.
This week, as we’ve been reflecting on how far the community has come and how much we’ve grown, we’ve also collected input from our community members on topics related to the Social Fabric. Let’s take a look, shall we?
We asked members how long they’ve been a member of the Social Fabric community. We received a variety of responses; to sum it up, 20% have been in the community for over a year, while 37% have been members for 0-2 months.
When asked what their favorite Social Fabric groups include, Shoppertunities and Community Surveys came in #1, while Chocolate came in at #2.
By far, projects that have to do with food have been been the fave; we really do have some very creative, talented cooks within the Social Fabric community.
We also have a variety of blog niches in the community, making it a very diverse group to work with. Blog niches within the community include Foodies, Crafters/DIY, Lifestyle, Dad Bloggers, Travel, etc. Of course, we also asked bloggers who their favorite retailer is. An overwhelming majority of members answered Target or Walmart, with Amazon also being quite popular. When asked what their favorite theme of the week has been, 27% answered Comfort Food, while 22% answered Halloween Candy/Food, Halloween/Fall Decorations, or Family Meals.
Now to show you just how much community spirit means in Social Fabric…. We asked members to get creative this week and create their own awesomesauce number eleven and then take a picture of themselves with their number eleven….also writing up a quick blog post sharing why they enjoy being a member of Social Fabric. Here are a few of those awesome posts and photos….
