Jessica Cohen is a former media researcher and strategist who used to live in her own fast-paced, well-organized and seriously Type-A world.

In ‘09 Jessica founded a site for women in the Philadelphia suburbs. While working on that site she discovered a passion for writing about those who have found their niche and who pay it forward. In March of this year she launched Look who Found the Marbles, a personal look at life, social good and giving back.

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

My favorite so far has been the Elmer’s Bag It Forward campaign.  The backpack I filled with back to school items was given to a child with cancer through the Kisses for Kyle Foundation.  Over the past few years I have become close with Sharon Snyder, who lost her son to cancer eleven years ago and started a foundation in his name.  It was such an honor to be able to give her that backpack, which she took to Jefferson Hospital and gave to a cancer patient.

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

The support within this community is incredible. I have met bloggers through Social Fabric who I now consider friends.  You can get as involved as you want to and there is no pressure to do more or less than that.

Please share a link from a campaign you have participated in so we can all go check it out!

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

I’m a sports junkie, especially football.

I sit on the board of the Kids With Food Allergies Foundation, a national organization whose mission is to improve the day-to-day lives of families raising children with food allergies.

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

Aside from my family I would bring my friend Sherri because she is the only person I could spend that much time with and still want to be around.  As for what I would bring with me, I’d have to say deodorant, my iPad (we’re assuming that I can get wifi and electricity on this deserted island, of course) and chocolate chip cookies.  What’s a deserted island without cookies?

Nice to meet ya Jessica! I can relate on the Elmer’s campaign. I did not work the campaign but I love what it stands for ~ and having just acquired an iPad myself, makes me wonder how I ever lived without it before now. FYI the 5.0 update takes 2-3 hours to download…..grrrr

I love football too. My daughter is 20 and about a year ago started having digestive issues. Still battling it! So funny you’d bring deodorant!
