Meet a Community Member ~ Mimi Baker

Mimi, or @MimiBakerMN, is a single Christian mom of 4 kids. Her two oldest daughters are in college, and her boys are 12 and 8. Mimi makes her home in rural Minnesota, but has days where she longs for city life. She’s been blogging for over 3 1/2 years at Woven by Words, and her blog has continued to evolve and change. She says she’s still actually trying to find her blogging voice.

What has been your favorite campaign with Social Fabric?

My favorite has been with Colgate. It was fun to shop for the different products. I learned about the Colgate line, which I never paid attention to, and my boys liked the products I brought home.

What do you enjoy most about the Social Fabric Community?

I like how we support each other. If someone shares about a campaign they’ve worked on, we go visit & comment. Critiquing a blog has been fun and it’s a great way to get feedback. Everyone just seems to be so genuine.

Any fun or interesting facts about yourself or your blog that you would like to share with the world?

These questions always leave me with a blank look on my face. I know there’s probably something fun & interesting, but I won’t think about what they are until I’ve hit the submit button and it’s 2 or 3 am. Then all of a sudden I’ll pop up and think, “I knew this…why didn’t I say that?”

If you were sent to a deserted island with one other person, who would it be and what 3 things would you bring with you?

Oh my oh my oh my. Well, since this is one of “those” questions, I’m just going to have fun with it. I’d like to be deserted with Ryan Reynolds. He seems strong enough to build a hut and bring me coconuts. I’d bring: an endless supply of waterproof matches, an air mattress, and a shaver.
