Viva Las Vegas!

On October 13th Casey Petersen from Murphy USA and I will be traveling to BlogWorld as part of a Murphy USA sponsored expedition to pick the brains of the brightest minds of social media and blogging, zombie style.

“brains…. brains…”

Our collective hope is to come away with a better understanding on how to leverage the community of blogging in a way that would benefit both bloggers and brands. For me personally, this trip was 2,000 miles in the making. I have literally traveled through 9 states and filled up at Murphy USA stations in 6 of them as part of my road trip to visit the Midwest and the famous Smokey Mountain region. In that time I have not only learned more about Murphy USA, but also learned how to effectively promote their brand by interweaving my experiences with using their services into my blogging storyline.

It’s my hope that BlogWorld will help me build on that experience in a way that will attract other similar brands into sponsoring my content creation, as well as developing the skills and knowledge needed to succeed that I can ultimately share with the rest of the Collective Bias community.
