The Murphy USA Experience
Collective Bias’ client Murphy USA hosted their Murphy USA’s District Manager Meeting in their headquarters El Dorado, Arkansas in July. Collective Bias team attended and introduced some of our community members to the district managers of Murphy USA. The theme of the meeting was “Art of Management” and the participants enjoyed a variety of sessions, including a session with two of Collective Bias community members, Toni Patton of A Daily Dose of Toni and Jerri-Ann Reason of Mom~E~Centric, our Community Director Katja Presnal, and lead by our Director of Brand Strategy Brad Lawless.

Here is what our community members said about attending the event.
I recently attended a Corporate Meeting for Murphy USA via conference call since I was unable to physically attend. There were some terrific discussions and it was great that Murphy was there to listen to what we had to say and that they were open to our opinions. The fact they they even cared about what their consumers think at all says a lot about this company. If your not familiar with Murphy USA yet they have Gas Stations located across the U.S. Some are freestanding but most of you may have noticed them at your local Walmart. They offer fuel enhancement to keep your car running in tip top shape.
Their employees are always so friendly, you can tell they enjoy their job. That’s when you know that a company is doing their job right. You can also sign up for coupons on their website. I have gotten some awesome coupons such as $2 off $10, Free Red Strike and Free Coke! Don’t forget to sign up for their mobile app as well. It will you find the cheapest gas in your area as well as coupons too.

I attended the District Meetings in El Dorado courtesy of Murphy USA. I met many great people who were open-minded regarding Social Media and hungry to learn more. I enjoyed the opportunity to explore various aspects of Murphy USA’s business. I hope to work with Murphy USA in the future with a movement known as “Social Media, It’s Not All Technology”, to help the District Managers, Managers and employees at Murphy USA join the vibrant online world of Social Media.
Again, thanks to Jay Staggs, Casey Peterson and the entire Murphy USA crew for making this a memorable and informational trip as well as Collective Bias for allowing me the opportunity to join them in such a great trip.
